It was such a delight to take family portraits of sweet friends a couple weeks ago. After two re-schedules due to the weather, the Lord blessed us with a gorgeous, golden evening as the warm sun shown through the trees.

The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.

My family and I spent the day in celebration of a dear friend’s graduation from Patrick Henry College.  I pray that He will fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith (II Timothy 4:7).

Red Raspberries and Apricot Coconut Macaroons were just a few of the treats enjoyed at the baby shower held for Joseph David. We are so thankful for the blessing of little Joe and how the Lord – in His perfect sovereignty – placed him in the Phillips family.

Adoption is beautiful!
