Several weeks ago our family had the opportunity to spend a week up in the mountains of central Oregon camping, fishing, cycling, and just plain enjoying a break from ordinary life (read more about it here). Dad has always been an avid fishermen like his dad was before him. His love of fishing has certainly been passed down to us! We were out there almost every morning and again in the evenings, hauling in a total of 109 trout in the course of 6 days! In this shot, Dad is helping Aimee get the hang of it again during our first evening trip of the week.
Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. ~Matthew 4:19
For those of you who are wondering, I sort of broke the rules with this photo since it was shot several weeks ago and not this past week. The reason being that I’ve been working extremely long hours down in San Antonio and have had almost no opportunity to get out with my camera. I hope you’ll excuse me this once.

Hmm, shall we excuse him? What say you?
There’s nothing like fresh fish! My brother’s love to fish in their free time!

Yes…excuse him! This photo is sooo worth it! Love the black and white!
Why of course you’ll excuse him this once, as long as he will comply with the rules the rest of the time. :)
What a treasure of a picture Ben! Keep up the hard work and try to get that camera out this week! We like fresh pictures, it’s like fresh fish. :)
Wait…I would have thought there would be plenty of photography opportunities during catalog season? I guess not…
