Dressed to the Nines

Nearly six hundred people gathered in Branson, MO this past weekend to remember the Titanic, the stories of her passengers, the tragic results of defiance against God, the bravery and heroism displayed by the men aboard her, and the great Providences of God.

My heart is filled with the exciting stories, wonderful music, edifying conversations, lovely clothing, and fascinating tales heard over the weekend… and I’m left evermore amazed by the beauty of our Savior Who laid down His life for us.

Be looking for a more detailed recap of the weekend on my blog soon. In the meantime, enjoy this shot of a delightful family dressed to the nines for the gala dinner aboard the Branson Belle!

By this we know love, that He laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

Interesting, I have a photo from a little more to your right and tighter in that looks like it was taken at exactly the same time. :)

Nice shot, BTW, I like the post effects.

This is beautiful! The only things ruining the absolute vintage feel are the smiles and spontaneity…wouldn’t have happened during the daguerreotype days! : )

I’m just curious…where did the phrase “Dressed to the Nines” come from? Was it from that time period?
