Hello, my name is Nawelle, and my family and I live in Tennessee. In my portrait, I’ve included a few things that are important to Noors–people, ideas, and tools.
During this next year, I hope to learn more of the rules of design and composition that the Lord God built into His creation, so I can serve Him more skillfully and completely (Luke 10:27). For the time being, I’ll continue to use a “layman’s eye”* to evaluate my work, and that of family and friends.
I hope that this blog encourages you to pursue with diligence and excellence, “whatever your hand finds to do.”
Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth’s sake.
- Psalm 115:1
*A layman’s eye looks at things like an Average Joe, with an omnipartisan, unbiased, non-profit perspective: “That doesn’t look…right.”

By any chance do you know the Smith family? They live in TN also! Just curious as they are a dear and close family of ours!

Oh yay! I can’t wait to see more from you all. And yes, this is a beautiful photo, Nawelle. I do so love you peoples :]
Antoinette – yes, the Smith family and my family are part of the same church body! My whole family has been encouraged by their example of strong faith in the provision of the Lord.
Jessica, dear friend – You found the blog before I even told you about it! I hope you know already how much your friendship means to Nadia and me, but just to make sure: thank you for being such a thoughtful friend. See you in a week!
Oh how neat! :) Well, any dear friend of the Smiths is a friend of mine! I cannot wait to see more of your photos and get to know you better! :)

Nawelle dear, I’m looking forward with great glee to seeing your photos – and will be much impressed if they all turn out as charming as this one. <3
Great shot of one of my favorite girls in the whole wide world. Love you!
Well done, Nawelle! I really like the way you have integrated various elements of your world while still maintaining the focus clearly on your face. The side lighting, books, and high backed chair evoke a delightful sitting room while the choice to look away from the camera, combined with your smile, creates an fascinating portrait with a dash of mystery that is quite captivating.
Nawelle, just found the blog today. I’m enjoying your beautiful and creative photos, friend!
